Things To Know When Shopping For New Custom Shower Glass

The time has come. You’ve stared at your bathroom long enough dreaming of an upgrade and what you want has finally come to you, it’s custom shower glass. Now before you start grabbing a hammer to completely destroy what currently exists in your bathroom, you’ll want to take a few steps in the right direction to make sure your remodel plans can be executed properly.

Address Whether Or Not You’ll Be Leaving Original Bathroom Surround

Are you leaving the original tile or stone from your bathroom when getting new custom glass installed? Deciding whether or not if you’re changing just the glass or the entire shower surround plays a huge factor into how this process continues.

If you’re going to or want to replace just the glass, give us a call directly and no one else is needed to be involved in the glass project. But… If you’re dream shower is going to include new tile or stone surround, you will need to contact that professional first (the tile guy, etc.) before Hearth & Home Specialties, Inc. can come out to visit.

Feel free to reach out to us here, with as much information as you can provide, for a ballpark estimate and the requirements needed in order to execute your retro shower glass job.

Now That You Know The Design, It’s Time To Pick Out Shower Glass

Visit our custom glass showroom or we can come to you to discuss layout, glass styles and hardware colors to get the accurate price for your new glass project. After you’ve decided on which shower glass you’d like to have installed, our technician will create a proposal and send it over to you for approval.

Once the proposal is approved, a technician will come to your home to point measure the openings to ensure that the shower glass will fit perfectly. Depending on the type of glass you have selected, the lead time is anywhere from 7 to 14 days before our team can return to install the shower glass in your bathroom.

Give Your Glass Shower Enough Time To Dry After Installation

Once the shower glass is installed, you must allow 24 hours to pass before using your shower so that the silicone used during installation can properly cure.

Hearth & Home Specialties would love to install custom glass for your shower that will give your bathroom an upgraded modern feel without burning holes in your pockets. Give us a call at 702-474-4099 on how we can help with all your custom shower needs!
